Our My Future programme is all about you and is a great resource for ideas, hot tips and tools to help you succeed. It doesn’t matter if you just want a job, apprenticeship, college place, to start your own business or if you’re unsure what you would like to do, we can help you.

Together we can help you develop skills, gain confidence and qualifications such as Maths, English and ICT and experience to ensure you succeed.

What does it include?

You will participate in workshops and exciting activities where you’ll learn new skills. The programme will help you explore career options and build your confidence, so you can head off to a great future. Our dedicated team will create a relaxed atmosphere that is both friendly and enjoyable making you feel at ease.

We’re not a school or college. We’re independent and want to see you succeed, so let us help you reach your goals.

My Future is tailored to your needs with your future in mind. Wherever you want to go in life we can help you. Our personal advisers will be on hand to support and guide you. You’ll also have the opportunity to work towards qualifications relevant to the jobs that you want.

When you’re ready to take your next steps, our team will be by your side assisting with, finding job or apprenticeship openings, CVs, applications, interview preparation, and much more.

Welcome to the GAPS VLE.

Here you will find lots of useful resources to help you study while you are on GAPS.

Your tutors will be able to guide you to specific information or exercises that will support you with:

What is OnTrack?

If you are looking to get a job, Apprenticeship or want to go to college, why not try out OnTrack. It is a new programme that puts you at its heart. Our focus is on what you need to get your career on the rails to success.  OnTrack is tailored around you. Whatever issues you may face, whether you need help overcoming low or no qualifications, disabilities, being a carer, drug and alcohol problems. Whatever the issues, this programme will support you through mentoring, training and specialised support. If you live in and around Thurrock this may be just be what you’re looking for.

Who's it for?

Those who live in the Borough of Thurrock and are aged 15-29 and are not working or studying.

How it works?

OnTrack is tailored to meet your individual needs, helping you reach your career goals, whatever they are.  

It consists of:

  • An initial assessment to find out what your aspirations are and any barriers you may be facing
  • A bespoke package of support which focus on solving any barriers you have and achieving your goals
  • Ongoing one to one mentoring and assistance
  • Confidence building • Work experience and work tasters to gain relevant job skills
  • Employability skills such as interview techniques, CV writing and job searching
  • Presentations, job fairs and networking events.

Support may include CBT, financial management, skills development, English, maths, ICT, self-confidence or personal presentation training.

Financial support

You may be eligible to receive financial support which could include costs towards: traveling to work or interviews; work clothes and tools for specific jobs; and short-term or one off childcare.
